"Baby Love" Garland Project

Hi there! Pearl here to share a fun garland project that doubles as a congratulatory card for an expecting family. I've got baby on the mind with so many new babies expected this year.

To create the garland, I used letter stencils and hand cut the letters traced from the stencil. Sometimes, I like cutting the good old fashioned way. :) I ran the letters through the sewing machine to create the garland. It's an awesome interactive card that also serves as wall decor for any expecting family. All you need to do is package it in an vellum envelope or flat glassine bag so that there's a nice semi-transparent view into the pretty colors held inside. To finish off the packaging, I added a banner sticker and glitter alphabet sticker to personalize it.

Here's a closer look at the "O", made to look like a baby carriage.

To create the carriage shape, cut out an oval shape from Mia Bella pattern paper. Cut a pie shape from the oval so that it looks almost like a Pac-man silhouette. Then punch 2 circles from heart pattern paper from Think of Me. Using the same Think of Me pattern paper, cut a thin strip as the bassinet ruffle. Scallop the bottom of the strip with scallop scissors. To add a little extra texture and sparkle, add glitter to the little heart pattern.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pearl
